Reviews Overview

Most Liked

Customers rave about the generous portion sizes and the freshness of the food at The Two Sisters Fish Bar. Patrons often highlight the crispy golden batter wrapped around succulent fish, as well as the fluffy chips that perfectly accompany every meal. Many return for the unbeatable price, which is surprisingly low given its location near Bicester Village, where eating out can be quite costly.

The exceptional service adds to the overall experience — friendly staff members consistently go the extra mile to ensure every guest leaves satisfied. Free extras, such as soft drinks or special sauces, often surprise customers and create a warm atmosphere. The restaurant’s casual vibe provides a perfect spot for a quick family meal, making it popular among parents with children.

Most Disliked

While The Two Sisters Fish Bar generally garners positive feedback, some diners have noted longer waiting times during busy periods due to the made-to-order nature of the food. Freshly cooked meals require a little patience, especially when orders start piling up during peak hours.

Additionally, a few reviews mention that certain dishes can be a bit salty, which may not suit everyone's palate. While the quality of the food is mostly praised, it’s worth keeping in mind that individual tastes can vary. A small number of customers have mentioned oiliness in some meals, although this seems to be a rare occurrence.

I randomly stopped by here after landing in Heathrow, shopping in Bicester Village Outlets, and fancying something hearty and satisfying before continuing my trip back up to Manchester. I'm so glad I found this place on Google. What a fantastic fish and chip shop this is! I ordered a haddock and large chips with a curry sauce and a ketchup as soon as the shop opened its doors at 4:30pm. Everything was made fresh while I waited, and the friendly gentleman who served me was so smiley and welcoming. It's probably the best service I've ever had from a chippy (I like to think of myself as a bit of a fish and chips connoisseur, after everywhere I've tried up and down the country). The price here was surprisingly reasonable, despite being so close to Bicester Village Outlets, where restaurants usually charge an arm and a leg for basic, sup-par food. The portion size here was decent, and left me feeling warm and pleasantly satisfied without feeling greasy. Everything from the crispy golden batter, to the succulent juicy fish, to the fluffy chips, and the dangerously addictive curry sauce was so flavoursome. There was nothing that was overly salty or oily, and it just hit all the right spots for my taste buds. Even looking back at the photos right now is making me salivate... That's how good it genuinely was. I finished every chip and every crumb, and even slurped up all the remaining curry sauce. This is truly a hidden gem, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm shopping in the area again. Thank you so much for such an unexpected delicious meal, great service, and for such a pleasant experience overall!

Lovely fish and chips and lovely service - gave us a free bottle of pop and didn't charge for the garlic mayo as a happy new year present! Highly recommended! And very cheap! Good portions!

This is a proper chip shop, I will say the food took a long time to be cooked but can’t fault that it was freshly cooked in front of me. It tasted fantastic, the portion sizes were great. Will use again
